DSS mentioned Harry Potter, but is known for changing his mind at the last minute (think night before). This year he can suck it up!

DSD has no clue... I'm thinking she might go as someone from Little Women as that is what she is reading currently.

We are doing Tintin again this year complete with plush Snowy dog. The pants he wore for it 2 years ago still fit, I just cut up an old school jumper for the jumper and then a white shirt underneath with the sleeves rolled up n white socks school shoes.ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1440073803.534967.jpg

Default What is your child dressing up as for book week?

My most successful and easiest one so far was DD2 and her friend went as thing 1 and thing 2. They looked fantastic and her friend's mum did the labels on their tshiirts perfectly. In a school of 400+ kids they were striking.

This year DD1 and DD2 are going as characters from books written by their grandfather which will be lovely but obscure.

Isn't the purpose to encourage reading? They can dress up as a movie character anytime. I'm not having a go at you, just that sounds a bit odd.

D's is doing a policeman again. Surprise surprise. He always does a policeman. This year it is a policeman out his favourite reader in the logo series.
