Red face Annoyed at male illness melodrama..

DP and I both have the flu, he has made such a melodrama about (currently laying on the bathroom floor) being sick. It honestly makes me completely embarrassed and that he is being childish..

    Am I the only one?

Is he lying on the bathroom floor vomiting? Or because it's cool there. Either way I wouldn't expect someone at their best when they are sick.

What is he like at other times?

Sorry I am a bit lost. You think he is childish because he laying on floor because he is sick or is more than that?
Why would you be embarrassed by someone that sick (if it wasn't self inflicted).
Each person naturally reacts different when sick. My hubby will not let him defeat him no.matter what. Where as my dd2 tells you every 3 minutes that she feels sick. Nether is better than the other.

    Hugs

I hope you both feel better soon.

No, actually the opposite, I feel like the longer we are together the more I love him. Even though DH does get man flu and must have his cold and flu tablets I don't like him being sick and want him to feel better. Sorry you feel that way about your partner.

I see nothing embarrassing about that, if he's ill and that is where he feels most comfortable, there's nothing wrong with it on my opinion.

I get the feeling this isn't the only issue you have with him and perhaps you both being sick is amplifying the issue.

I was quite sick a month ago and felt so weak after a shower that I lay down in the bathroom for 5 minutes.

Is there more that's going on?

    this.

it's not just him laying on the floor. him laying on the floor is the straw that broke the camels back. and as PPs have pointed out, being sick is probably amplifying whatever's going on.

In my marriage. ..I'm on the one then who would be perceived to be melodramatic when it comes to gastro type stuff (since he's lying on the bathroom floor I'm guessing that is what the issue is).
Honestly. ...sickness is the worst. I've seen my hubby cry in hospital when he was sick. I don't think being weak like that when you're sick is a big deal.
I do think spouses need to help each other out when both are sick and looking after their family.
I hope you are all on the mend soon.
