    Default Plus size IVF

    Hi,
Hi my name is Georgia. I live in the central goldfields.
I am 40 and had my tubes tied in 2007.
I got married to my husband less than a month ago.
We have been together for 5 + yrs.
We are looking at IVF in order to have a child.
As far as I know everything is fine but I have been to 2 clinics and both have said that I have to lose weight.
So I am on here seeing if anyone else has had a similar issue to me and if anyone knows of a clinic that won't exclude me from treatment just because of my weight.

    G

    Hi Georgia
I have done a few round of ivf with a bulk billed clinic and they were quiet strict on bmi being under 35. I'm in an ivf support group on Facebook and I know some woman in there have done ivf with a higher bmi, maybe you could join the group and ask there if you have no luck here

I'm very overweight and have done many cycles with QFG, we've had no issues. Our specialist says he isn't convinced weight loss is the sure fix for fertility but it wouldn't hurt.
