Sariele, sorry meant to say congratulations and welcome to you. Just catching up now I'm in bed. I heard great things about the Czech clinic, my acupuncturist is a liaison person with them here in nz. That was very nearly my choice but went to Mexico purley on logistics.

I'm going really good @miss macy, feeling almost normal today. I'm pleased to say that only one week post birth my belly is almost back to what it was ! Just a little bit of bloat because my intestines are so bruised (from being removed and replaced twice!) but I'm going to be back to pre pregnancy size in the next week I reckon. I'm so thrilled that I have no sag or stretch !! I'm either very lucky, or the upsie belly is worth its weight in gold.

    Default Twins due in 2016

Welcome @Sariele and congratulations ! They predicted my two were both girls too at 12 weeks and I was thrilled when they were wrong and we got ourselves a boy
I've realised I probably didn't post what actually happened with my birth. We had the c-section then while I was in recovery they said if I didn't stop bleeding they may need to take me back in and there may be a hysterectomy at worst case. Bleeding didn't stop and they almost lost me. Last thing I remember was shaking so much I was just about vibrating my way off the table and I asked them to knock me out as I was freeeezing. I asked them to let DP know what was happening but he was left floundering in my hospital room with two babies and no idea what to do. He wheeled them down to to see me in ICU late that day when I woke but I stayed in ICU until the next afternoon then had a 24 hr watch, my own ICU nurse for the first three days - surprising in a public hospital. The problem was one placenta had grown into instead of onto my uterus (placenta accrevia?) so when that separated there was massive bleeding and on top of that I had developed severe pre eclampsia so was going to bleed more as well because of that. Both of these things they should have known about pre birth. Our bubs were looked after in the nursery for the first four nights as I couldn't get up but on the fifth day they told us we could no longer have them in the nursery so DP spent the next two nights very uncomfortable in hospital looking after me and the bubs so I pushed to go home. As long as my pain relief was the same at home, why stay in hospital. My family helped DP get us home and in the last 4 days I have become mobile again thank heavens. Still on super pain killers but they run out in a couple of days

    Dear JulieMalooley,

After everything you experienced as part of your delivery, you sound like a true rockstar, or perhaps hero is more suited. What a horrific ordeal - I'm so glad for you that you are all home, and that your babes are both so beautiful and you are recovering well! You continue to look amazing too!

Enjoy every minute of your babes.

    Xoxo

Thanks @cjocoh71 but really, I was just there for the ride. I look back now and realise we were very lucky, but really, I just lay in bed. All the carers did the hard yards

    Default Twins due in 2016

    Utterly devastated.

We checked into the hospital tonight at 31wks, with exactly 3wks until my c-section, thinking we were now truly in the clear and on the home stretch. Eliminating any undue stress, due to Twin A's Vasa Previa, now that we could be monitored regularly. We then began a battery of routine tests, including hearing both heart beats on the Doppler and blood work. The last of the tests was to be a stress test, also hooked up to the heart monitor. Twin A's heart beat was easily found and he was hooked-up. Twin B was more challenging, which we were used to. Until it was revealed that very sadly, our Twin B no longer had a heart beat.

DP and I are still in shock. Only 4 hours has passed since we heard those most ominous words and life seems horribly surreal.

Not sure how we got here. What caused this awful tragedy to happen. I know we need to be strong and remain positive for Twin A and keep moving forward, but my heart aches.

I am now hooked-up to a constant heart monitor for Twin A. I want to pray that he will be ok, even though he lost his brother.

My dear baby boy, Twin B, I will love you for always, and we will miss you much. Xoxo
