But yes, so, so ready if not somewhat nervous. Suddenly this whole baby biz is a bit real ! I can hear babies crying on the ward !! Very foreign to me.
Oyyyyy @JulieMalooley ...! I've just read that you were in hospital with high BP and low heart rate and then immediately thereafter that you're going home. Yikes! Hope all is well and you are relaxing at home, waiting out the next 2days (although likely less for you by now).

Good Luck with your c-section on Tues. Hope all is stable for you and that it all goes well.

Can't wait to see pics of your beautiful babes.

    Take care of yourself. Hugs.

Cjocho, have you seen the specialist yet, are you on bed rest? Hope the twins change position so the cords move.
Afm, I gave my obs appointment tomorrow 34w3d, will find out if there's ca change of plan. The sonographer last week said twin a hadn't grown as I much as she'd like, but midwife said not to worry. Have pelvic bone pain now so walking like I have piles!
Cathy, you're posts are always reassuring, thanks.
I've not seen the specialist yet - we do so on Tues aft at 4pm, and will not be a moment too soon. Is a long weekend for us in Canada, in fact the first of our summer season and I continue to struggle with much pain and discomfort. At times, walking after I've been seated is virtually impossible and I have to slide my feet along the floor to get myself going.

If the twins could change position to move the cord's position and resolve some of this, I would be very grateful, and relieved. But frankly, not holding out much hope that such significant movement is still possible at this stage.

Have done "baby" laundry today and will hopefully pack their diaper bag tomorrow and my own hospital bag, also tomorrow, then I will really start to relax and let it all happen the way it is meant to unfold, knowing that I'm as prepared as can be, or some such thing ...!?!?!?

Best wishes for today julieM, hope all goes well, scarey and exciting. Soon you'll have the relief of having the twins in your arms.
Cjococh, fingers crossed for your appointment. I sympathize with your pain getting walking, I've just started with it over the last couple of days. Didn't realize you were in Canada, im in new zealand it's great to have the support of the great women on the forum.

Bubs arrived safely and right on schedule on Tuesday am, but I didn't fare so well. I lost around 6 litres of blood and had to be opened up again for a hysterectomy to stop the bleeding. They apparently 'nearly lost me' and poor DP didn't know what was going on for 3-4 hours. I'll deal with the hysterectomy in time I guess, but in the meantime here are our bubs

Oh my goodness @JulieMalooley it sounds like you've been through the ringer in a big way. I'm so sorry to hear about the bleeding and hysterectomy. I can't imagine what a shock it all must have been. Big hugs to you and your dp - it must have been terrifying for him as well, not knowing what was happening to you. But a huge congratulations on the arrival of your two beautiful bubs - they are perfect and absolutely gorgeous I hope they bring you bucket loads of joy in the days ahead as you recover. Thinking of you and hoping you're surrounded by love and support xx

Massive congrats on the little ones JM - they are just adorable!

Big bleeds are fairly common (as I understand it from obs I saw). I lost only 2 litres and they got it stopped with a baakri balloon ( a balloon that they put in the uterus deflated and then fill up with water. Sorry to hear they had to go the hysterectomy route.

Have they stated you on iron tablets to help get your iron levels back up?

For me, all the drama of the preeclampsia and my 6 weeks in hospital in the lead up melted away when I saw my ones beautiful little faces.
