@Cathy69 Thanks so much for all that info. It sounds like you are doing amazingly well with your little ones. I have also taken some screen shots as I’m sure I’ll be calling on those tips in a few months’ time!
@baby245 I’m really sorry to hear about the hg. I just had the regular garden variety nausea and vomiting and it was unpleasant enough, so my heart goes out to you. A close family member of mine had hg and I saw how debilitating it was for her – awful condition. I don’t have any helpful tips either, but I hope you and your docs can find a way to manage and minimise it until it eases (hopefully sooner rather than later!).
@JulieMalooley You’re looking great! Although I’m sure you are getting pretty uncomfortable by now. But wow - less than 2 weeks to go – you’re SO close!
@Ruby16 Great news on the fluid levels – that must be a big relief. I hear you on the fatigue. I’m only 24.5 weeks and I’m really starting to feel it too. I’m not sure how I’ll manage to keep working until 32 weeks at this rate. Yikes.

    Default Twins due in 2016

Thank you Cathy69 for all your amazing and very helpful info - I too did a full copy and paste. Besides, they say that copying is the best form of flattery 😉!

I'm 28wks today and feeling HUGE!!

While we've known for awhile that a c-section was very likely, due to Twin A's placenta and now umbilical cord were both "hanging low", just this week we had it confirmed that his umbilical cord transcends right across my cervix opening. So not only a c-section, but I now need to see a Fetal Medicine Specialist this coming week to determine the 'when' and then will need to be hospitalized 2wks prior to that date for constant monitoring.

Wow ...! All of a sudden this shiz got very very real. Baby boys will likely be joining us in 6 very short weeks!!

Love and respect my OB now more than ever before that his ego didn't prevent him from referring me to the Fetal guy for another opinion. Love when your docs really look out for your best interests, and not often does it happen, especially with highly skilled specialists, who've been doing what they do, well, for ages.

Feeling excited, a little scared, and a tad bit overwhelmed, but very grateful and blessed. What a crazy journey this has been, and isn't yet quite done ...!

Lots of love and strength to all who are getting so close to their own delivery dates, and to everyone else on here who are still early-on and growing babes.

    Xoxo

Sounds like they have your care well under control @cjohcoh. I know the huge feeling. 36 weeks today, just over a week to go thank heavens. I had BH contractions every 10 minutes this morning for about an hour and I was hoping due to the regularity that they may have been early contractions but I guess not . Today would be nice. This is horribly uncomfortable. At least I have absolutely nothing to do before their arrival so I can just keep my big fat feet up till d day.

Feeling for you ladies - the last two weeks for me were the most uncomfortable .... All I can say is about a week after delivery (Cs) when all the fluid had gone - I felt physically the best I felt in many months!!

JM, well done getting that far! Get those feet up and enjoy it. The next months will be a happy blur - they go so fast.

5 months down today for me and it's gone so quickly.

My guys have outgrown their baby bath and had their first go in the adult bath today

Oh yes. ..I still appreciate the little things in life. Like being able to walk and bend over. I was soooo uncomfortable for the last month. It was actually painful. My whole personality changed to 'i don't give a toss'. Lol. I'm back into life now!

Bubs are 6 weeks old now and it's been a helluva ride with me back in hospital with uterus infection a week after the c sec, being on anti biotics have the bubs bad tummies, now we have reflux issues for both of them. They're on medication for it now. Lordy I'm looking fwd to getting some normality going. ..if there's such a thing with twins? ? It'll be a better normal than I'm used to anyway!

I meant to post these bath pictures before. We've got a bath stand and dh rigged up a hose out of the bottom so you can use it either beside the bath or in a shower. I used it with ds for ages. So much easier on these old knees and my old back!

Also these little hammock things are great to help support when they're little. Can also be used on the floor under baby gym to prop bub. From big w or target.

My babies are 8 weeks old now and their older sister absolutely loves them. The novelty has worn off and she wasn't asked them to go back yet.
Life has been so crazy I've only just had a chance to download the photos from the birth onwards onto the computer.
I've pretty much abandoned breastfeeding because they haven't been draining me, resulting in Mastitis, and then getting nipple trauma from poor latching from both of them. So pumping and formula it is and it's saving my sanity.
