Rah, well done. They are just beautiful
Congratulations! They are gorgeous!!
Congratulations Rah, your babies are looking beautiful and healthy and no NICU - amazing! Hope you are recouping well..... have you decided on names?
Jacob and Madison are their names. They have both just passed their hearing test and exams and we will be set to go home today.
Brilliant news rah. And great they didn't need special care or anything. Well done! Bet you can't wait to get them home!!
Not sure what resources everyone has been sourcing to help with the 'twin thing' so thought I would post a couple I like ...
Lots of great, short articles and stories usually written by mum's of multiples with lots of practical advice.
I have found having a routine and knowing when my twins 'should' be awake or asleep etc has been a great help. Check out this site for lots of info and sample plans for babies.
And of course - join your local Multiple Births Association chapter. They usually have free membership for prospective parents and a get together with other local expectant multiples parents. Once your twins arrive they have new parent morning teas/playgroups and your full membership entitles you to a free box of Huggies nappies so that alone is worth joining ! I have made some friends out of this and they are a great support generally.
Has anyone got other resources they use ?
Hope everyone is doing well.
Another vote for your local multiple births club - in the short time I've been involved, it's been really helpful advice wise and in other ways (cheap breast pump hire, closed fb page where mums tend to give away products and gear they are done with, talks from groups on baby first aid and baby behaviour)
I've got a lot out of it and annual membership was under 50 bucks
