    Default Cord blood donation

Does anyone know if i can donate the cord blood here in WA? While the OB is suggesting me to store it due to potential diabetes down the road for baby, I am thinking to give it back to the world as i know that there is a shortage.

As far as I'm aware, public donations will only be able to be made through the Rotary Cord Blood Bank and they are yet to receive final approvals and licensing. I think they're still running trials through King Eddies. But definitely give them a call to check that as I'm not 100% sure.

I think your best bet is to ask the hospital you are giving birth at.
