Default what to do in brisbane??

off to sunny brisbane this weekend, just looking for suggestions of things to do? have never been and will be spending the day on my own for the most part. am open to hiring a car if needed.

can any locals or seasoned visitors give me ideas of things to do? i'm 11 weeks utd so nothing overly sporty or active/adventurous lol.

    thanks

Head out to the cbd, plenty of nice shops, coffee shops etc, or check out southbank parklands, great to walk thru. Even the museum is nice and interesting

The show is on (known as the ekka) so you could go there if you wish. Otherwise, there are markets at Southbank, lots of fab dining at Southbank as well, GOMA, science centre, the theatre, the botanical gardens at mt coot ha have just had a revamp. Eat street markets at Hamilton.

Get a can straight to the city. Once you're at Southbank, it's not far to walk either to west end or the CBD
