    Default Car maintenance / repairs

Our cars worth 7k max, we are replacing in next 2-3 years but can't afford new one until then so it's just a case of maintaining.
At what point is enough is enough with costs? Quick google of what needs to be done and it's not cheap.

Depends what it needs. I have spent over $1000 on repairs at a time for my cars. Anything getting up towards $1500 I would be reluctant. But sometimes you just don't have a choice!
