I was reading something yesterday about Early Pregnancy Factor that was interesting, it suggested that you can actually detect pregnancy in something crazy like 6 hours after fertilisation. (I think it's used to detect pregnancy in sows mostly but has potential for use as a super early pregnancy test in humans). I don't believe the idea that "your body doesn't even know you're pregnant" or that because you're not technically pregnant until implantation you wouldn't have symptoms, that's just semantics, and I haven't seen any evidence to suggest that's true. Anyway, what do you all think?
A friend of mine swears that she knew straight away because she couldn't look at, cook or smell meat, she had hypermesis (sp?)

I'm 8dpo today and feeling off but that could be because i've got a cold as well.... BFN this morning using FMU and a Frer test.

According to fertility friend app I actually ovulated on Tues, putting me at 3dpo today. I got a positive HPT with both my boys at 9dpo but will be trying to hold out until 12dpo as it's fathers day. We only decided to TTC#3 last Saturday, at which point I thought I had already ovulated and was waiting for AF to arrive. I don't like our chances of actually falling this cycle but gosh that would be amazing.

I am nearly ready to join the testing list, pretty sure I have ovulated for the first time this year! Will cross everything my temps stay up the next few days and I will come up with a date to test - I am thinking Sunday so I have a chance to do something for dh as a 'father to be' day

Ff already moved my crosshairs once, I could potentially be 6dpo, not 4dpo. Anyone else think there might be a chance I am 9dpo?

I hope you don't mind me asking, but how long did you wait before you tested DH? And does the man usually get tested first?

We've really only been trying a few cycles but was just wondering.
DH was tested at 6mths and I asked for a blood test at 7mths. The 2nd test at 8mths was to confirm the result. The men usually get tested first because over 1/3rd of infertility is linked to sperm quality I believe. My doctor was reluctant to have any tests run given we "hadn't been trying for a year yet" but we just knew something was wrong... I'm glad we did so we can get help sooner!

I'm sure there are plenty of suggestions online while you wait for your appointment, if you are still going to try this month. I'm at 4DPO today and nothing much to report, apart from some pretty extreme dizziness last night after drinking half a beer. That was weird. But I've been sick with a cold for the last 14 years so it's probably just related to that. And my almost 3 yr old is being incredibly clingy and wanting "boobies" all day, but that's probably because I've been super exhausted and doing a lot of sitting on the couch so I'm an easy target and she's probably quite bored too. (Exhaustion is most likely because my body is sick to death of being sick). I wish I didn't have this stinking cold so I could get a better idea of possible symptoms, everything so far can be explained away by that. I should post this as a proper poll but tying to do that on the iPad would probably cause it to get hurled out of the window, typing a simple reply is painful enough...SO - Do you believe it's possible to have any pregnancy symptoms before 6DPO? Very interesting @InWatermelonSugar. I agree with you that the body "knows" immediately. Too bad we don't have any tests sensitive enough to know.

In terms of our TTC journey, we will still try this month and cross our fingers for a miracle. I'm well acquainted with Dr Google and found that large amounts of coffee consumption can hurt sperm motility. Also that menevit or maca root powder can help boost the motility (over a 3mth period). Has anyone else got any experience in this area? I wanna get DH onto this stuff sooner rather than later
