    Lamb obsession tonight.

I'm sad though as I really need to buy a second SC. I wanted to make a pull apart bread today but then realized I was already using my SC. First world problems I guess.

I've seen pics from the SC group. There's people who have three and four going at the same time!!!

I feel your pain. This happens to me all the time. I would love another metal insert one but they are just so expensive.

And are they dishwasher safe? And, are they coated in non stick stuff and if so, are they prone to scratches etc..

    I love my metal Insert.
It is light as feather. Cleaning is so easy (I have been known to use a nappy wipe to wipe away the gunk and a quick rinse a under hot water). You put it on the stove to brown meat and keep all the good juices. I am too lazy but you could of you so decided.
    I love the shape.
A rectangle makes things like lasagna is so much easier to make and serve. It fits things better like big legs of lamb.

I don't know if they are dishwasher safe (no dishwasher here, I would think they are.
As for scratches. After years of being abused (dropped at height on to concrete floors, kids serving themselves lasagna etc.. mine has one small chip on the lip edge. So I would fairly good to great with non scratch.
