    Ham and vegetable soup for me. Dh is doing night shift and I've been eating eggs on toast for dinner so thought I should do something healthy for a change😀

    You won't be sorry. Slow cooked whole chook is so tender, you'll have trouble getting it out of the slow cooker. I had to use big tongs and a spatula under the chook and the wing and leg still just fell off. I will try an aluminum foil sling next time.

    Default What's in your slow cooker?

    I have chunky steak pie filling going today. Will then put into a pie dish with puff pastry and then into the oven for around 20 min. My house smells amazeballs right now.

    I have given it a couple of stirs as its cooking onto the sides of the SC bowl. Maybe this one is for the weekend when you are in and out of the house? I'm not sure I would leave this one unattended all day unless I doubled the recipe and there was more in the bowl.
