Thanks We are home at the moment, getting ready to move to our farm next week (settlement is Monday 2:30pm). Excited and nervous at the same time as it's a big change for everyone. Mostly excited.

DD goes in for more chemo and a lumbar puncture next week. Because we're moving my mum is having her overnight at her place on Monday, she'll take her into hospital on Tuesday. DP and I will spend Tuesday and Wednesday moving the rest of our stuff and then Thursday is vacate date for this house so I'll be meeting the carpet steam cleaner there and cleaning some more before handing the keys to the agent. Then I'll head to hospital to take over from mum on Thursday night and might be in hospital with DD until she's finished. Not sure at this stage what day.

DD is well at the moment, her blood counts are good and she is feeling good. She got sick with a fever a week after her last chemo round and we stayed in hospital for 6 nights. Was totally bored by the end because I couldn't get into the book I started.

All in all very happy with how DD is going, and I look forward to this house move being done and dusted. It has been so stressful trying to arrange everything while also dealing with DD's treatment as well as constant f$&@ ups by Centrelink in regards to the carers allowance. Spent 1.5 hours on hold with them today. Totally over it!!!

On the days when she's not unwell in hospital she spends the days doing puzzles, drawing, colouring in, pasting, watching her portable DVD player. If she's not neutropenic she can play in the play room (neutropenia means low white cells essentially, very vulnerable to infection as she has no immune defences). The play room is her favourite place, it's set up a bit like a kindergarten with various crafts set up, a play kitchen, toys, books, Playdough table etc. They have full time play therapists looking after the room and they also make sure bed-bound kids have enough toys/crafts/etc in their rooms. DD loves puzzles the most, she's always got at least 4 in her room at any given time.

I don't know how you have managed to move house and continue DD's treatment, you really are Wonder Woman Hollywood!

Three to go!!!! Love hearing updates but looking forward to this being a footnote in DDs life. I really hope you all get to spend this next very special Christmas together at your new home .

Aww, thank you. I don't really know how I did it either! Unpacking is going slowly. The new house is a little lacking in cupboards for stuff like linen, so we are still trying to figure out where to put things. Luckily the sheds here are HUGE, so storage for things we don't regularly use isn't a problem as long as it's in plastic tubs.

I had to go to Ikea yesterday to buy DD a wardrobe as she's got no hanging space. Am about to tackle actually constructing it *groan*

DD had a blood test locally last week which came back as really good. She'll have another on Monday and if she's still good she starts the next round on Tuesday.

We are loving farm life so far. We have an overwhelming amount of stuff to do here, both in the house and on the property, but there's less of an urgency now because we have moved. We can now stay put!

    Not bad!
