Default HR cert iv employment advice please

DH is really trying to 'better himself'.. He has a job which requires him to take on quite involved tasks- project management etc but it's outside of his official role.

He wants to do some online courses because his employer will not provide any opportunities to complete certificates or training. Ultimately, he really wants to leave his current job and find something that pays better, is a better job etc

So my questions.. Is it worth completing cert iv online?? Will this be recognised when he applies for other jobs? Also, there are so many companies that seem to offer this, they all claim to be as reputable as the next it's quite hard to decide. Will where he gained the qualification matter to an employer?

Currently he has years of experience but has only completed year 10 and only on the job training here and there.

Things are tight financially for us so would like to know if it's really worth paying the money for these courses?

    Thanks

As long as he goes through a registered training organisation he will be fine. A cert 4 online is exactly the same as getting it by going to a class. I've gained all my qualifications online.. Happy to answer any other questions including any on the HR quals
