Foggy, that's my plan B if I don't get in directly. Was it challenging to transfer? Or pretty straightforward?
And that's interesting about the placements. I asked so many questions at the open day but didn't get that answer! I hope to do it at the Mater, but no idea how competitive placement allocations are. Do you know if the Mater has block placements?
    So many questions! Sorry.
I know all this is a long way away, but I have to be realistic about childcare for my kids since we don't have family here and I'm trying to get my head around how it will all work (along with the women we will need to follow!).

There does seem to be a compulsory regional placement. I've elected to do it this year.
They class rural as anything North of Nambour, south of Logan and West of Ipswich.
I'm not sure about Mater placements I'm sorry!

As far as transferring - they allocate a certain number of places to transfer students (I'm not sure of how many). As far as I know, they go through those applicants and allocate the places accordingly.

Thanks foggy do you get to elect when you want to do the regional placement? Or where you might like to? Because if i can do it in Toowoomba for the block placement at the end of the first year that would be so awesome! I will have family living up there that i can stay with.

Yep LeighB, if I were to do rural I would choose to do it end of first year
    Toowoomba would be perfect!
