    Thanks Jarylee, useful info.
It's what I'm struggling to get my head around the most with the course; how much time things will really need, and how that will work around my kids....which is why I've asked about a million questions in various places as to how other people do it and how they've coped with the workload.
Just want to get started now so I can see for myself!

I'll add you as a friend on fb abbey

Thanks for your tips Pushka. I'll check out student VIP

Thanks Jarylee, I'm pretty fortunate to be in the position that I am where both kids are in school and my husband works local. I wish I had a larger support network but my hubby is it really. And he is able to take a day off at no notice to be there for the kids when I'm called away for a labour. I cant wait!!

I got some good, cheap books for first semester next year through the FB group. The ladies that have just graduated are selling their books pretty cheap. Thanks for that hot tip!!

Also, I've been chatting with some ladies on the "ACU Midwifery Student" FB page about what books they found really useful, what they didn't use etc. I'm finding the info really handy, so thought I might share. Feel free to jump on and have a stickybeak into that convo. A lady by the name of T. Rudd began the discussion.

Will you ladies be going to the orientation events, particularly the Midwifery specific things on the Thursday? I will be and most likely dragging bub along. Perhaps we'll get to meet before it all begins.

Have a lovely Christmas and maybe we'll meet in the New Year.

    Thanks KaylaB!
I'll be going to the Thursday things, and probably the Monday as well (since they seem to be compulsory?!).
Can't wait! Feels like it's getting more real now. I'm sure I wasn't this excited about uni when I was 19! Haha.

I tried doing it before I had logged in, and it wouldn't work, but if you select the ones you want when you're logged in, it says it automatically registers you. I still couldn't email it but I managed to print it as a off and will email it to myself that way! Hope you got it sorted.

    Hi Alecsmumma!
    Fingers crossed for you!
I'm in pretty much the same boat...only managed a semester at uni as a teenager so it's going to be a huge learning curve, but there will be plenty of others like us!
Hope you get some good news in January!
