It was yesterday, I had a ultrasound and now they have referred me on for a MRI. I'm not sure why?! I have to go back to my GP for the results so frustrating!! My breasts are too small for a mammogram 😝

The MRI will pick up anything up better. You go in a machine laying face down and they have boob holes and you just dangle. Quite loud in there but they give you headphones and play music.

Unfortunately the MRI is not medicare covered and I think it's $450ish.

I had a couple last year for my breast cancer (before my mastectomy).

I would do everything you can as early as possible. You are NOT too young. You have a high family history. I don't want to scare you but in my bc support group there are 18yo's. There is a lady who knows of a 13yo. You are never too young.

Good luck, I hope it's all clear.

Hope you feel at ease soon xx

I'm organising my appointment for a check up soon. They don't like to do mammograms on people under 40 as our breast tissue is too dense. I've been putting mine off but I will get it done before the end of the year.

Yeah I am having a MRI because of family history then the genetic testing.
