May I ask what's the level they r aiming at for u? @MGC Bertie?
Bbhope..... they've said that they want my levels to be under 6.7. In the four weeks, it's only been over four or five times, and each of those times it was about 7.0 or 7.1, so really not far over the 6.7 target.
Aww we're all grown up and onto our second thread.
Hey everyone. I haven't posted much, but have been following. Just wanted to share my news. My little man, Ashwin Jaxen, was born on 29 July at 10.45pm at 35 weeks, weighing 2.74 kgs. He is currently in the special care nursery, but doing great.
Just a quick drop in to say that my waters broke this morning at 2.15am. I had no pains until about half an hour later on the way to the hospital. At the hospital they hooked me up for monitoring and promptly told me my pains were contractions.... very surprised as they just seemed like period pains??? The contractions started at 2 minutes apart, then 5 mins, then 15 mins, then 30mins, then stopped!! Go figure!! Trust my body to do the opposite of what it's meant to.
Spent most of the day waiting for my ob to show up, who told us his plan - if baby girl doesn't come naturally overnight, then it's a c-section tomorrow (Mon) afternoon. He said, since my waters have broken, that it's too risky to give me the drugs for an induction for a natural birth. So she'll be born one way or other tomorrow at 36w 4d - bit earlier than we were expecting, but there you go.
@MGC Bertie all the best for tonight/tomorrow. My little girl was born at 36+4 too and she was little (2655g) but she's 4.5 weeks old now and doing great. Enjoy meeting your little munchkin it's so exciting x
