Default IUI not much happening ... feeling down

    Hi,

I started IUI on the 13th of July, I am taking Gonal F, started on 75ml and then they put me on 100ml. I have had 3 scans and first scan was showing only very small follicles and the next scan they said the biggest was 12mm. I then went back today and she couldn't see the 12mm anymore. She said I only have a few 10mm and they took some blood tests to see how my hormones are doing.

I feel like nothing is happening and just feeling a little down Has anyone experienced similar? Should I not get my hopes up for this cycle if its already not looking good ?

Sorry you are feeling down I don't know a lot about IUI as I went straight to IVF ICSI, so I can't comment on how you are going..
I think the first attempt at any fertility treatment is generally a bit experimental to see how you respond so try to think of it as a learning curve. Good luck

...but also, don't rely on what the sonographer can see from scan to scan. You want to take advice from your specialist only

That is a good way to look at it with the first attempt being a experiment. I guess I was hoping I get pregnant the first cycle, dreaming I guess LOL.
I got a call back from the clinic and the nurse advised my hormone levels are fine and I haven't ovulated yet so they are moving my dose to 112ml and back on Wednesday for another scan.

@babypanda I have been there and it totally Sucks my heart goes out to you! Agree with Scubagal don't listen to sonographer only your specialist, which i know is easier said than done.

I did 3 rounds of provera i can't remember ml's now though, and specialist was always telling me the month wasn't viable. We did 2 months with a Pregnyl trigger and fell pregnant on the 2nd round. It was so hard every month to hear it had failed and i was nearly ready to give up.

Goodluck with your journey, i hope you get a :BFP: soon

So I went back today and I have 20mm ready to go . I take my trigger shot tonight and then insemination is on Friday. I am trying to stay positive but not too positive because if it doesn't happen I don't want to be to let down.

I guess its just nice to know my body is finally responding.

It has been a tough week this week. Found out on Friday my husband sperm which was frozen was no good. He couldn't produce on the day due to the stress so we had to cancel the cycle

We had natural intercourse so hopefully that could still work as my husband has a good sperm count but he just has problems producing under any kind of stress and thats why we froze it for back up. Hoping for a miracle
