    Default When to start ttc?

    Hi All,

I would like to ask for some advice. My DH and I are wanting to start ttc, but we have just booked a 13 day cruise in December. My question is, what would you do? Start trying now and possibly be pregnant on the cruise or wait until the cruise/after to start?

    More info:
    - I am not worried about being pregnant on the cruise, but my DH would like it to be just us as it will be our first real holiday together.
    - I am nearly 27 and DH is nearly 32 (if that makes a difference).
    - I have had many different health problems in the past, so I am worried about having trouble conceiving, but I'm also worried about having a high-risk pregnancy.

    Any advice is appreciated.

    TIA

I'd start TTC while you're on your cruise Luv!!😊 A few months waiting to try isn't going to change anything in the big scheme of things plus it could be the first @ last holiday you have alone together for a very long time all going well!!😊

Quick note that I've learnt from experience, if you do start trying beforehand make sure you check the cruise lines pregnancy policy, from what I've read most won't let you cruise beyond 24weeks pregnant.
Good luck and enjoy your cruise!

I personally wouldn't want to be pregnant on the cruise.

You've no idea if you will have morning sickness and that could potentially make it a horrible experience.

Unless there was hard evidence from a doctor saying I would have difficulty ttc, there is no way in heck I would stop using contraception before the cruise.

If you want to feel like you have some control before then perhaps you could start charting your cycle now, but using condoms during the fertile period. That way as soon as the cruise is over you are ready to go.

I'd start trying on the cruise. I threw up almost every day of my pregnancy... I can't imagine being on a ship would have been pleasant for me.

What all the others have said - start trying on the cruise! I had hideous morning sickness as well and the thought of being trapped on a boat during that ... No thank you very much!!!
