I get them when I see something appropriate and tuck them away. Regardless of when in the year it is

In June and July I do toy lay-bys at big a, kmart and target. (Kmart is only a normal 8wk layby) then I use the presents for dd's bday in October, Christmas and then ds's birthday in April the following year. I just did my target ones yesterday (a Xmas layby and also an 8wk layby for dd birthday.

I don't worry about my kids changing their minds at all. That's what exchanges and refunds are for 😊😊 I return things if they aren't suitable anymore and swap for better stuff but I have rarely needed to do this.

Default when do you start planning for chistmas presents?

i don't start shopping for a kid until after there birthday so from August till December I pick up bits and pieces here and there.
For family members that I buy for i start getting 1 per fortnight from around September

don't do presents. only do a family Kris Kringle. will start doing presents for babies/kids but there've been none do far til this year. as adults, presents are just a hassle so we've all happily just cut it back to the kk. so generally start thinking about it late November to early December.

I'm super organised. I buy stuff I see cheap and stash it away. My boys birthdays are in October but in February I start planning. I already have all their party stuff I have bought over last couple of months...so just need to buy food(slowly... Buy a few things every grocery shop) that way you never miss the money and you can be super prepared
