can you get a second opinion/test @Charlie74. I'm not sure what immune issues involve. but if they've found something, that's one step closer to them treating it.

I've taken today off work. the nurse called so I'm setup for next cycle. another long down reg in about 19days. she said I might only get 1 more in before my birthday. so this could be the last one

yes I've only read a few articles on epigenetics. it it really interesting. I'm feeling a lot better about donor eggs, I think we'll have to go this way. thanks for your comments @Chiefsgirl. it will be amazing for you to feel your baby growing

All fs and reproductive immunologists differ in the way they treat Ana and nk cells, so I don't really want to comment on whether that is 'enough' - lots of people get pregnant on that bondi protocol.

My immunologist is a bit more aggressive with his treatment, but who is to say that a lighter dose wouldn't have worked too? I also have other immune issues which probably have impacted on the doses that I am on.

The most important thing to remember when you are taking steroids is you need to increase your folate (get 5mg megafol from chemist for about $5), increase your calcium and magnesium as well. Steroids affect your body's ability to absorb these minerals and you can end up with bone issues later and bub can have issues if you don't up your supplements. Not to mention the muscle cramps from lack of magnesium!

I don't want to scare you, but you need to know that you need to increase these things to help alleviate any other issues you may have xxx

Hi everyone, sorry about the lack of personals I have been run off my feet trying to organise moving house and getting our unit up to scratch to put on the rental market.

So, the last embryo hatched and was biopsied today So 4 frozen in total and all to be tested. Now for the next hurdle of the PGD results. Think I have heart palpitations.

I spoke to my doc, AM, and said that a heads up from the nurses about the relatively low E2 levels would have curbed our expectations on egg numbers. However he said that, especially in younger donors, a low E2 doesn't necessarily mean lower egg numbers. Also he said that in the scans leading up to the EPU there were medium sized follicles but when he went in to collect they were considerably smaller. So no idea what happened there Anyhoo, it all worked out well. Just gave me a small heart attack along the way.

@winsor glad you have another plan of attack. As for egg donation I truly believe that once the baby is growing it won't matter. I grieve not being able to have any more genetic children but that doesn't stop me from knowing that I will accept a donor conceived child as my own. I must admit I am not as excited about these frozen embryos as if they had been from myself and my partner but I am convinced things will change as a pregnancy becomes more real.

Congrats @Bongley, brilliant news! Hopefully your PGS results only take 2-3wks love. Although I appreciate that it will most probably feel like ages. Well done again!!
@Corbes your results look amazing for so early on. Don't you be listening to that nurse. Do staff like that think we need reminding of possible outcomes given our histories. I think not. Your body is doing magnificently!!

@Bongley that is such wonderful news!

I have to admit I didn't feel excited or nervous, or even involved really until the embryo's were transferred. Before that I had felt like it was all happening to someone else - which it was really!

@Chiefsgirl that's good to know. I feel excited but it is more removed which is disconcerting. I feel sad about my own eggs/genetics and kind of annoyed too.
    Why couldn't mine do this!!
