Default Recommend me a backpack.... For someone who hates back packs

I have a bad shoulder so I sometimes find carrying the mummy bag around on outings can be uncomfortable. I am thinking that for big days out I might need a backpack. But I hate them. I want something big enough for purse, phone, hats, jumpers, water bottles, but not ugly. I have seen a couple online that were very expensive ($250. eek). Any suggestions?

I tend to dresses in jeans, nice top, cardi, ballet flats etc. Not exactly haute couture but I do try to put myself together in a way that is a bit nice

Yeah I don't think a satchel would work.

I will go and look at local stores but it is quite a loathing that I have to overcome.

What about a messenger bag with the second strap around the torso holding it in place?

Thanks. I like the print. Not too sure about the shape but for the price I could just get it and gift it if I decide not to use it.

I quite like this one. It is expensive for something that would not be in regular use. http://www.theiconic.com.au/MSN-Bag-209025.html

Only just got mine and used it a few times, seems to work well, otherwise fantastic to give to someone
