@Miss Sagi I've done exactly that ta, I've asked Dr W. It can't hurt, except that I didn't want to get Kimenthra off side by going directly to Dr W. They can only say no I guess. I'll be anxiously awaiting their response tonight!
Do you know what the success rate is for a single transfer?
Good luck for the coming week for your VVIP delivery!!
I've kind of figured out how it works now. All the donors are high grade sperm. Once the SD's get close to the family limit and/or limited straws left they then get categorized as ICSI donors.
Thanks @Canuck1 for your well wishes & the Kirstenbosch tip! I think I'd have to be feeling really brave to trust 100% of the eggs to natural fertilisation. You did didn't you? I wonder if that's what Dr W will suggest to me too. I can't wait to hear what my donor's 1st scan results are tomorrow night. Exciting!!
I hope your SD contacts K asap. You're being incredibly patient & understanding.

Tahli, I'm not sure what the 60% success rate is based on as their standard transfer is 2 embies, so maybe single is 55%?

Tahli – Hope CFC give you the OK to split between your SDs. Good luck.

AFM – Just to clarify, in February, I did get the embryo grading just before they froze them. What I was asking them for now, was the grading of the two embryos they have left. I was hoping they would know which ones they thawed when did my FET, and tell me which ones are left. That’s what they are saying they can’t do.

But like most of you ladies have said, they only freeze good quality embryos that have a high chance of surviving the thawing process. After getting some REALLY GREAT and APPRECIATED advice from you wonderful ladies, and also asking Dr LR for guidance, i’ve decided to do another FET. I came from thinking I had no frosties left, to finding out I actually have 2, instead of the 1, i thought they would refreeze, and for that I am truly grateful. I am now planning an FET for Dec/Jan.

    Hi faith
I'm very glad. I think what you asked was reasonable I'm surprised they couldn't, my understanding is that unless you ask the way they store is several per straw maybe if they thawed a few straws to get your last fet emby, then a couple from different straws survive maybe then they lose track of The original emby and grading ?
    Good luck for jan

Tahli single transfer is normally 60% success in donor IVF as a standard statistic.

Multiples then change success rates because you are transferring.

They may mean single 55% then 60% after FET. There are so many factors that could modify your chances personally, however.

Multiples increase chances but also increase chance of twins which creates in itself it's own risks throughout the pregnancy and beyond.

@faith15 I reckon you've made the right call there! Super good luck for your festive transfer!!
Ta girls for the stats. I guess I just wanted some reassurance that I have a 50% plus chance of success from a single transfer.
Dr W has ok-ed me using two sperm donors. Yay! It'll be really interesting to see how the natural fertilization rate goes compared to the ICSIed eggs.
Of course I'm jumping the gun here b/c K hasn't responded to my request to reserve the extra SD yet. My guess is I've got her majorly off side by going directly to Dr W. I feel really bad about this but I needed the best physical match to my 3 y/o son & SD1 is it. I would have forever regretted not fighting for SD1 otherwise.
My egg donor's 1st scan is today. I'm so excited & anxious!!
