Lauren Marie - I paid about AUD$80 per night for the entire cottage for Oaklea in May 2014 so it is probably right if you are looking per person. I found the cottages much better value than hotels or apartments. While you could get cheaper hotel rooms, to have an entire cottage to yourselves was for me much worth the extra $10-$20 a night.

@faith15 oh no love, it's so hard to get that BFN after so much effort and expense - I understand and it must be super hard on the second cycle. It sounds like you have a great attitude. But I'm truly hoping the next cycle is it for you love x

thanks Leyshoja - still another day to wait here!

We haven't been doing too much the last day or so as hubby has to work, but we might head out to canal walk today for a look around as I'm going a bit stir crazy - the weather is a bit wild and woolly too so probably best to stay indoors.

We had a great lunch at the Pot Luck Club the other day - and the cottage we are in is simply beautiful - unfortunately it's not for hire year round as they live here and only lease it out while they are holidaying themselves. But it's great to have home comforts - we had a delicious bbq dinner last night and then watched a movie in front of an open fire. The baby is quite settled as there are lots of toys here and she has a normal cot etc. so it's worked out really well.

    Em x

    Wow Sunnygirl, great numbers! Congratulations!!!

Emski, a bbq dinner and a fireside relax sounds absolutely wonderful. What a great place you've found this trip.

Faith, I'm really sorry to hear your second try was a BFN. I hope you can make it back to SA for another go.

Hi ladies. I just wanted to thank @leyshoja for her kind response to me the other day. We have picked our donor and are bound for Cape Town in December...hopefully if everything goes to plan.
