The leaflet says it should be intramuscular but the pharmacy in perth said into my stomach! I'm confused!!
Have you got the three ampule pack? ( from memory its 0.5 each ampule ?). From memory this is the one Wazza gives a script for... And you do three injections - one before and two doses two. Days apart after Tx.

Yep just inject the saline into the powder and swish it around until it dissolves. Draw back up into thinner needle and do it in the lower part of your stomach the same as you would with Lucrin. (Disregard the info in the leaflet )

@pinkshootingstar A few Pregnyl booster tips...you may want to ice the area for 10 mins beforehand, you may like to hold the top of the ampule with a tea towel as you snap the top off, if some of the glass breaks into the ampule don't stress as it can't be drawn up through the fine needle. Good luck!
Did any of the other girls take Pregnyl boosters for a CFC cycle & do you need CFC to administer the Gestone or can you do it yourself?
Thanks heaps for the accom suggestions! I'm checking them all out but availability is proving tricky.

@Tahli, they will do the first one for you but you can do it yourself. Its a pain in the butt - literally - and better if you can get someone else to do it for you.

@Tahli, the donor sibling registry that MardiCharli mentioned is the most well-known one. There doesn't seem to be a lot of registrants from Cape Fertility.
The B&B I stayed at in Claremont (Lavender House) was $80/night and lovely. @pinkshootingstar: Banks has all kinds of restaurant supplies. I got Grunter steak knives there, and they deliver: http://www.bankskitchenboutique.co.za

Tahli - I took the pregynl as well for my cycle. It's part of Wazza's protocol for all his patients. (Australian specialist). It's not part of the CFC program.

Your nurse coordinator will show you or your DH how to administer the Gestone for your first needle, the rest is up to you..

I'm guessing the gestone can only go in your bottom? Is it an ouchy - ice first jab? Wow, that's going to be tricky as a single lady! I'm going to have to get very twisty!!
@Canuck1 Ta for the two b&b's you suggested. Unfortunately they're both partially booked but I can stay 2 nights at one & 4 nights in the other! So I think that's what I might have to do. I'm just waiting to hear back from CFC tonight but my donor's screening isn't until Tue.
@Blinky76 Did Wazza give the thumbs up to Pregnyl boosters even though you were dealing with 20 y/o eggs? Interesting. Do you know what his thinking was on this? The Pregnyl boosters are the one thing I would love to drop from my last stim cycle with LB!

It's kind of the upper outside quadrant of your butt cheek so manageable. You'll probably need to do the first couple in the mirror so you know you're in the right area then it's not too bad. The only thing you can't do is the draw back to make sure no blood comes out, but @emski72 I think said when I queried that they were not too concerned Bout that bit if you had no option.

Sorry to gate crash your thread! I do pio injections myself and it's not too difficult, the worst thing is looking at the size of the needle. I do the drawback thing without any problems. I think it's easier to do it yourself than have someone else do it. They would be too tentative not wanting to hurt you!

You will get lumps in the area you inject. I stand with the warm shower directed on each side for a few mins before getting out then massage the area and it helps.

    Good luck xxx
