@wazbub - I think the best plan is movies and massages/treatments, as already recommended! Definitely.

If you want to stay in your hotel room, try watching the "UnREAL" TV series. I found the entire season on youtube (except the last episode, which you'll have to watch on apple TV or real TV when you get home). We had dodgy internet and it worked just fine.

Not everyone's cup of tea, but I also did some work so that I wouldn't be so stressed when I got back home.

We went to Myoga for dinner tonight and there was a proposal!! Down on bended knee, ring in hand. Made me cry ... I blame the hormones 😉

And not our proposal by the way. 😋

Copy of my post from the IVF over 40 thread...

I asked CFC if I should go on clexane (in addition to aspirin, prednisone and I let them know I was on a lot of fish oil) and they say 'sure you can start it from Sep 2nd'. Um, that's Wednesday. My FS would not prescribe it as he said with the aspirin and fish oil if I also added clexane then cut myself badly I'd be in trouble Makes me wonder about the benefits if they are not even telling me I should be on it, but just agreeing I can go on it because I asked? I actually thought they would suggest I could start it when I get to CT as I could pick it up when I go for my intralipids 3 days pre-transfer.
They are also suggesting I only need one more intralipid infusion 4-5 weeks after a BFP.
    Comments or suggestions anyone ?
What to do about the clexane?
    Is that enough intralipids ?

Hi ladies. I am new to the forum but have been following this thread with interest for the past two years. I'm 36 and we have been ttc for 5 years. I've had 11 mc and 5 ivf/icsi with no success. We have mfi and I am a poor responder. Each collection has only ever resulted in one embryo. I'm thinking of moving on to egg donation in sa. Some guidance or advice would really be appreciated as I am losing hope. Thanks so much.

    PSS everything crossed for you!

Did she/he (as you never know!) say yes though!??! There could have been more tears if the 'wrong' answer!

Hi @irishhellsbells - first, love your user name - I would suggest looking at the egg donor web sites to start with while you're getting used to the idea. After that, the process is really simple. I chose my donor first, then contacted Cape Town Fertility Centre (initially I did this via their web site) and let them know a bit of my history and that I had chosen a donor then they took it from there. Its surprisingly simple, the most stressful bit for most of us (after making the initial decision) is waiting for final dates to book your trip.
    Try
babysa.co.za - I used them, they were great.
    sunshineeggdonors.com
    giftovlife.co.za
    eggdonationsouthafrica.co.za (CFC's own donor list)
    baby2mom.co.za
nurture.co.za (a lot more expensive than everyone else)
We didn't spare any expense on our trip and ended up spending around $19,000 which I was surprised at, but if you went tight you might get away with it for maybe $15,000 all up. From the day I chose my donor, I was in Cape Town transferring 8 weeks later. Good luck. You'll suddenly feel a lot more positive about everything when or if you choose a donor..

Leyshoja, ask fs for clexane as recommended by cfc and tell them you'll stop aspirin and reduce fish oil.

There's no point being on all those @leyshoja if I were you I'd do as Sagi suggests, drop aspirin and fish oil and use the drug that is used to aid implantation clexane from a couple of days prior to transfer. I'd query CFC as to why they suggest you start so early it might be something to do with Ana cells that I'm not aware of.

I am on the fish oil though because of the theory that it 'may' have similar benefits to intralipids. The fact that it thins the blood is just a bonus I thought. Isn't clexane just a blood thinner too ?

So as per Dr W - the pred stops the production of antibodies and the intralipids 'mop up' existing antibodies - I'm hoping the fish oil will help with the 'mopping up' in the abscence of me getting intralipids until I get to CT
