@emski72 - As far as I know yes that's all you need. We were traveling with one parent so the rules were more stringent and here were the issues we faced:

    - In Switzerland we do not have "JP" but a notary. Notaries keep a list of what level of authority is accepted in each country, and when they looked up SA it showed a HIGHER level of authority. This means we had to get our notarized documents stamped by the State of Switzerland (all last minute, almost missed the flight, was horrible and very expensive as normally this takes days but I didn't know about it earlier)
    - When hubby & son arrived in SA, turns out I had notarized the SA affidavit with various docs attached (son's birth certificate and photocopy of my passport), but the notary stamp was not on those photocopied documents. It was only on the SA affidavit, which was apparently not good enough. They only let my hubby enter when they looked at the flight manifest for the next day and saw that I was also flying in, just 24 hrs behind them.

So probably you are OK because both parents are there. I just wanted to mention it because I heard from the notary that she knew of someone with their child who was turned away and not allowed to enter. In any circumstance that would be terrible, but in OUR circumstances it would mean we miss the cycle.

Thanks Kay I've looked over the embassy info and think it will be easier with both of us...how stressful for you! I might just travel with her original cert to bypass having to have it notorised.

I'm really not trying to scaremonger - it sounds like you are absolutely fine.

It's just that we had such a nightmare ourselves that I'll probably spend the next year obsessively harassing anyone on this thread traveling with a child, just to make sure no one suffers the same fate (or worse).

Not long for you now! :-)

Hi All, had a couple of days with crappy wifi access and so much has happened!!
Tittles great to hear from you. Glad your son is ok.
Kay woohoo so glad to see you got a positive! And so early in the waiting game!
Jennski congrats on the transfer of 2 embies.
Faith, think you were asking about markets. If your still here on the weekend i would highly recommend the hout bay market or the oube libertas market in stellenbosch. Both were really good.
AFM I've got two bubs on board. Transfered on monday (day5). Spent yesterday in bed relaxing. Now have my fingers and toes crossed for success. Wondering now if i was also in CFC the same day as the other 4 (sunny, faith, pink, ferngirl)??? Congrats girls on the good numbers.

Was at CFC again today, and got to meet Jennski ... we had a nice long chat while she waited for her appointment. Jennski – Congrats on being PUPO!! Ohhh, the astonishment on your face when Dr W told you Tx was today instead of tomorrow. Good thing is now you get that time you wanted to rest up after Tx, before you have to travel.

Kay – Congrats on your BFP!!! Nice start for the August ladies to follow… Very happy for you.

Wazbub – Congrats on being PUPO!! Am sure your embies are snuggling in beautifully.

PSS and Ferngirl – Sending you both positive vibes as you wait for Tx.

AFM – My FET is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Fingers crossed my embies thaw nicely and we get two really great quality blasts.

    Hi @emski72,

Thanks for checking up on me. Did the drive to Hermanus today via the coastal route, the scenery is stunning! Had lunch at Bientang's Cave restaurant. Very reasonable prices and great location.

EPU is tomorrow and afterwards depending on the weather the plans are either Table Mtn or the Cape. Have booked Inverdoorn overnight for Thursday.

My sleep still hasn't adjusted but DH can sleep anywhere, anytime!

Good luck to the rest of the August ladies, it must be an Aussie invasion in CT at the moment.
