Fantastic results wazbub!! You must be thrilled.

Ferngirl yes I'll see you at the airport 😀. I'll be the one paving the aisles through the flight now that I'm paranoid of blood clots haha

Kay congrats on being PUPO. Your pre transfer story did make me laugh. And thanks for recommendation of places to eat.

AFM: Thanks for your support everyone, had intralipids yesterday. MissSagi yes he's got me on prednisone25 also. Just had another lining scan and up to 6mm ... Slowly slowly and still 4 days to go ... Fingers crossed!

Pinkshootingstar, no need to stress about blood clots....you've done this trip before. Clexane, socks and moving your ankles every half an hour as well as walking to the toilet on the plane is all you need to do.
Now, go over there and enjoy yourself! 😊

@Charlie74 I figure if you raise a child as a well adjusted individual and provide them with unconditional love and make it clear exactly how hard and long you tried to have them, then if they have issues dealing with it down the track all you can do is help them as much as you can. Keep all the information and donor details you have and they can attempt to gather the information if they choose. I thought that even though it was anon in CT, some of the donors are open to future contact - just depends on the donor. I could be wrong. As far as I'm concerned, being given life - no matter how it came about - is waaaay preferable to never being born at all because there was no 'perfect' way to achieve it. I'm going to cross that bridge when I come to it.

    Hi Charlie,
I have thought about this a lot, as I started this three years ago with open-ID donor sperm. So here are some ideas:
    - there are some books available that can explain IVF/egg donation age appropriately,
    - I agree 110% with Leyshoja "I figure if you raise a child as a well adjusted individual and provide them with unconditional love and make it clear exactly how hard and long you tried to have them, then if they have issues dealing with it down the track all you can do is help them as much as you can."
    - Also, the world is moving in so many positive ways, who knows what will be the norm in 'family' when your child gets to asking that.
    - There are some donor sibling registries available. When I looked in December, there weren't many from South Africa, but again, who knows how that will develop. One of my friends here is great friends with her daughter's half-sibling's mother (both women did sperm donor), and they are creating their own version of family.
    - Family is not exclusively about biology, for me love is the tie that binds not biology (at least I am really really hoping this is how it works out).

Also, huge hug to PSS - slow and steady wins the race... That lining sounds like it may just sprint to the finish.

Another thought...when I shortlisted my donors I made sure I chose ones that looked like they could be traced at a later stage. Little hints of identifying info here & there in their profiles.
A super basic question girls...I have the initial CFC forms in front of me. Who 'referred' you to CFC? Do you need a referral if you're as Aussie patient & if so can your GP do it?

Brilliant, ta @emski72. Do I email my current FS's office (Lynn Burmeister) & ask for copies of the medical test results that you submit with the initial form?
