    Hello everyone

just wondering if anyone has had ICSI PICSI at CFC? I've been suggested by Dr Wazza we should do it and waiting to hear back from CFC about it but interesting can't see under their treatments they say they do it.

weve had our cycle moved out as our donor had exams so will now be there from 22 august to 4 September snd I'll be there on by own from 29th onwards, if any other ladies are there at the time and wanting to meet up.

    hope everyone is doing well!

Hi Ferngirljust catching up on posts and saw you were asking if anyone here is from Perth. Well I am Also mardicharli and patsy, big congratulations on your beautiful babies. Wishing you all the best!

Thanks Leyshoja, yes I'm getting excited again! We definitely have to have ICSI but have just discovered about PICSI but not sure if all clinics do it if asked or not. Hoping someone else might have asked or had it and knows if CFC will do it.

Pinkshootingstar, I asked CFC for PICSI as I wanted the best sperm to be injected into the eggs. As you know I was using sperm donor and they told me I didn't needvto worry about picsi as their testing of sperm donors is so strict thst they only allow top notch donors on their list, needless to say i didnt use it but they do have it.

Good luck to all the August girls and a special good luck to my Feb girl pinkshootingstar! I hope Dr wazza was able to offer you something new.😊

    Hi Ladies

Well, been really busy preparing for a few weeks off work and I've just realised we are off to CT THIS Saturday ... It still hasn't really hit me yet, we will be on holidays in a week, and PUPO in two!

Looking forward to the CT catchup too.

    PARENTAL CONSENT AFFIDAVIT

Hi all - just wanted to share that additional (legally notarized) paperwork is required if anyone is traveling to South Africa with a child and only one parent.

My hubby is going with our son one day in advance (for reasons I won't bore you with), and we only found this out today, the day they fly. It has been stressful trying to understand the requirements and organize for a legal notary in time for the flight. We are OK now, but imagine if I had been out of town? I can't believe I didn't know this earlier. Grrrr.

I wanted to share in case anyone else is traveling only one parent with a child. It even applies if you are a single parent, widow, divorced etc.

    Kay

@Kay2015 it just means you need a JP or police officer etc to verify a copy of the birth certificate right? I also thought it was required even if both parents were travelling? I'm taking it just in case even though we are all going this time.

Turns out you do, there's some info on the Smart traveller website----From 1 June 2015, parents and guardians will need to carry, and produce on request, a full (unabridged) birth certificate as well as a valid travel document (passport) for children under the age of 18. There are additional conditions for minors travelling with only one parent or unaccompanied, see Entry and exit
