    Hello lovely ladies

Sorry I've been AWOL for so long. I've needed a little time just to deal with the process to date plus finishing building and moving into a new house and losing my beloved fur baby. Anyway, things are looking up, we have a new donor, going back to Cape Town in August, seeing the infamous Dr Wazza here and throwing everything at it in the hope somewhere there will be a silver bullet.

I've not yet caught up on the posts but will see how you've all been tracking, but so pleased to see the wonderful news of so many BFPs in the roll call, and my heart and big bugs to those who didn't have such good news, but so great to see some of you going back so soon.

love and hugs to you all!

MardiCharli: Interesting that your ob won't let you go past 37 - 38 weeks because of the risk of stillbirth. I'm actually feeling a bit anxious because my elective caesar has been pushed back to next Monday which will take me to 39.5 weeks despite my various dr's/obs saying that they wouldn't let me go past 39 weeks because of my age (I'm 46). Feel a bit lost in the public system, to be honest. Have rung the bookings nurse this morning to explain how anxious I am and she said she'd get back to me...

Leyshoja: Fingers crossed for a positive result for you. How's the jet lag?

PSS: Welcome back and well done for heading back over to CT next month. Have everything crossed for you.

January: Thanks for updating the roll call as ever. Can't believe the number of twins!

    Hi to everyone else!

Good luck to everyone getting ready to go to SA & of course to Leyshoja for your POAS (but don't forget 10.5 is still really early so if you get a BFP - yey ! But if not, don't despair and keep peeing !)

As for me, thought I would just do a quick update to keep spurring everyone on in their CT journey ...... I had my first OB appt today at 10w3d and much to my relief all went swimmingly. This time last year I went for the same appt but earlier at 9w, and sadly found both my little ones had stopped growing previously, so to say I had a restless night last night is an understatement.

But today - there were 2 little ones with lovely beating hearts (which were amazing to hear) and it appears I have a little chubster who is an entire week ahead size-wise ! The other one is dead on. The little one was being a bit difficult re position so no face view but Chubster looked straight on and I swear I am having a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle !

I am off for the early DNA test tomorrow (I think it is the 'Harmony' test but my Dr didn't refer to it as that) anyway the blood goes to the US for them to try to determine the DNA floating around in my blood and do the respective Downs etc testing. My donor is only 25 so the test should be just a formality - hopefully.

This really feels real now that I have OB appts all booked and even have the Maternity Booking Form for the hospital.
