    Default Business owners & centrelink

Hi all, I'm looking to find out how much a business can earn before any payment from centrelink is stopped.

I'm pretty sure it's different from normal employment to business.

    Your welcome to pm me.

    Thank you

It depends on how much income you would derive from your business. Then I'm assuming it would be the same as anyone else's income based assessment.

    Default Business owners & centrelink

Normally business owners pay themselves a wage ( like us) and then any extra dividends you pay yourself still goes on your group certificate so centrelink would be informed of all your income if you are claiming benefits - your company is a different entity and it can have money but you can't access any of it without paying tax and declaring it ( if that's what you mean!)

As in, how much can you earn before payments stop. Etc.
and I'm sure the accountant gives the information to the ato who then pass it on to centrelink right?

And after doing an online estimate apparently I can still get something.
