Private adoption arrangements like this are not legal in Australia. I would get in touch with your state's Department of Human Services.
All the very best for the rest of your pregnancy.

Sorry hun but you can't do that. Have a careful read of the booklet that meredithgrey linked to above. On page 11 it clearly states that you are able to express your wishes about the race, religion and ethnic background of the adoptive parents but you cannot name specific people you would like to be the adoptive parents of your child.
Hi there Pregnantaussie, i try to pm you the other night it boune back i would like to have a chat to you thanks Jojo
thanks for that Meredithgrey
You can enter a sort of private adoption with a chosen couple by going through family court. You will still be on the birth cert, but they can be named legal guardians.
You need good legal advice to go down this track and my experience with it is it's usually a known couple (not someone found in the paper ala Juno).
Please ask to see the maternity social worker at your hospital.
There is another form of adpotion it called parenting pathway
hi yes it is a new purposal it is for couples who are sort of over the age to adopted in Australia, the firm is in Brisbane it is like an open adoption
