I would love to. It just depends on the budget. I mean, ideally we want floating floors in the laundry, kitchen and dining, tiles in the toilet and bathroom and then new carpet for the rest of the house- bit it all costs money. I have a fair bit of work lined up in August/ September so it will help pay for paint (with the rest going to our wedding) and I think paint alone will be at least $5-600. (We want to do kitchen cabinets too, as well as paint those awful brown tiles as an interim measure until we can afford to give the kitchen more love!)

To be honest with those gorgeous exposed beams I would go for either white or a beautiful cream colour.

I repainted my place grey with white trims and I adore it! The best thing I did though was to get a colour consultant in (not something I ever would have considered before). She showed me that the grey I was looking at (a pale dove grey ) would have been wayyyy too blue and I ended up with a brown/green toned grey which is so so much better!

Here's a pic of the Silver Dollar colour (ignore the ugly green blind - we are slowly replacing them but gee, window treatments are $$).

We painted out walls breadcrumb which is a warm cream with brown hues. We've done the trims of doors, skirts and doors quarter strength semi gloss which gives it almost a white look. We love it.

I'm wanting to repaint, I absolutely love stripes at the moment, and I love a pale yellow with a grey! There are so many coulours that work with grey.
I have these wide stripes in dds room in light and dark purple they look awesome. ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1436938184.551078.jpg
