Default How much is the back to school allowance?

We had an amount deposited into our bank account and just want to check that it is for the two of them as Centrelink has an error on their paperwork saying that one of our kids isn't at school yet. Yes, I'm on hold...for 65 minutes to try and fix their mistake...because I have nothing better to do with my time. And yes, I called them before he started to school to inform them.

Thank you. In that case, they have definitely paid us for two school aged kids with the back to school allowance since the start of the year but still have him down as a non school child on the assessment notice part. Should only be about another 45 minutes now. Really hope I get a nice one and not a narky one.

DS still shows as non school child on my Centrelink app. We were paid the school kid bonus though so I left it.

I'm just concerned that they may have not done the correct calculation then for his oosh.

AAAHHHHH - was just writing that last bit and the phone hung up on me! Got to 1 hour 58 minutes. I was thinking that the battery would run out first, but no, it hung up instead. I only get the engage signal now. Will have to leave it until I have more time to waste I guess.

I've been trying all day and just get the engaged signal.
I'm just going to have to take dd in tomorrow and deal with their "I'm better than you because I have an excellent government job" attitude. (Sorry to anyone who works at centrelink- I just find my local one is so judgemental. I always make sure I dress myself and dd especially nice so we don't look like hobos, but I still feel super judged)

You can jump on the app and update your child's education details and the payment will show straight away. My DD2 was down as a non school child (she is) so I just changed it in the app and the payment for her showed immediately.

I find that I get someone nice about 65% of the time and the other 35% I get the other type of person who knows that they are not working in a job that is aimed at creating a profit and couldn't care less how they treat other people.
Hopefully you'll get an uber nice one tomorrow Nomsie. There's no way I'm taking in 4 kids - you know the tale involving a stick and an eye and all.

I've been feeling rather blue about the whole job situation of late too. Childcare want to know places for next year...this week! What do I do??? I would like 3 days paid work next year with a cherry on top please.

He is getting the payment but he is still coming up as a non-school child. I think I'm a little old fashioned. I have a total of 2 apps on my phone and neither are BH
