Default Opinions needed! DigiBirds vs little live pets

    Hi all
Hoping to get some opinions on both the mentioned toys. My little girl is nearly 2 and I'm trying to decide which to buy for her stocking. She loves birds and she's always fascinated by both these in the store but I've never had a chance to have a play around with either brand. If you (or your child) has either DigiBirds or the birds in the Little Live pet range could you give me a bit of feedback about them please!

    Ease of use

Etc. We can't afford to buy both and we don't have many friends with kids (and none who have these!)
    Thank you!!

7yo has a Little Live Bird with cage. 2yo DS loves to get hold of it and push the button to make it sing/say back whatever is recorded on it. He hasn't worked out how to record on it, but does accidentally do it sometimes. He can sit it back on its perch but not clip it in properly.

I imagine this would be an issue with both, but they're not really "sturdy" like a toddler toy. I always worry that DS is going to snap the legs or he tries to pry the beak open. So I don't usually let him play with it for long (since DD would be devastated if he broke it).
