    I've shared bathrooms many times, when backpacking and as a family we camp a lot and share bathrooms.

    But I think, if I could afford it when staying in a hotel on my own with a child I would pay the extra to have a private bathroom.

    Have you thought about using Airbnb? There are some great place on there, whole apartments or room and ensuite for less than $120/night. I'm sure there would be lots of suitable options, just need to make sure they are ok with a two night stay...

    Wow I never thought of gastro! I think I am going to go with the single bathroom. I would hate to have to leave ds alone and I pee almost constantly lol

    I've tried hotels combined, hotel club and tri.vago. it sounds sill but I have never booked my own hotel. Even the easiest decisions lately seem so hard

    How about wotif and lastminute? Even when not booking last minute they can both have some good prices. Even more so if you choose a mystery hotel.

    Not sure of when you're actually going, so prices may vary but here's an example of what I found on wotif..

    Wow. This is the one I found for $222 for the two nights! You may have just saved me the original difference! I think I love you :-P
    This place is top of my list though. They will supply a cot, bedding for the cot and I can call warm water up to my room for the bottles, and get them cleaned for me.

    Hopefully you can book for the same price (if not cheaper!) the dates you require! Wotif also have a phone app which makes it nice and easy to browse and book too.
