Default intralipids vs IVIG, and break between FETs?

    Hello,
We've just done our second FET, with a BFN , both transfers were done with the intralipids and dex, etc, because I've got the NK cells. We've got one little blasto left in the freezer, and we'd prefer not to wait a cycle for our specialist appointment (he's away for a couple of weeks), because, well, I'm feeling the time factor closing in. We can go ahead without the specialist, and just do the same protocol if we like. Our specialist had said if the second FET failed, we might consider some other options, and when I asked what they might be (considering we'd already been tested for all the immuno guff that might impede implantation), he said that maybe we'd use the IVIG rather than the intralipids for the first infusion. So I have two questions for you amazing, supportive women out there: one, has anyone tried the IVIG, and was it more effective (or does anyone know the stats on the difference in success rates)? and two, is there any benefit in waiting a cycle between FETs? It's so hard to get myself emotionally back on track after the results, but then waiting another 35 days till the next cycle is crazy-making in a different way.

Any advice would be amazing, thanks!

Hi there! I only had chemicals on intralipid (twice) and was successful using ivig. Hope this helps.

Oh, I'm so glad the ivig worked for you! Did you have your embies PGD tested?

I asked our specialist's nurse, and apparently it's charged according to how much you need, which is based on how much you weigh. For us I think she said it would be something like $1600 for one infusion (compared to the $230ish for the intralipids) and that was when I weighed 57kg. (I weigh a little more now that our third transfer worked! Fingers crossed it keeps sticking...)
