It's each to their own I used to live South, but I'm just happier being closed to the city. I have nothing against the northern suburbs I just don't want to live there, probably much like you don't want to live where I do .

I'm sure OP where ever you chose will be great. Out of your 3 I would chose Mawson lakes but I know nothing about schools etc

I've lived north. DH lived south we always have an ongoing argument as to which is 'dodgier' - all in good humour. But we have lived inner south west and inner south and we like inner south as we are close to town/work and it's more cosmopolitan than suburban but that's just what we like.

OP where will your DH be based? I'd recommend gawler too it's like a country town but still quite suburban with a good community feel. Which is where is rather live over any if the suburbs you listed.

At the end if the day it is Adelaide, a capital city so you're never far away from all amenities, just maybe further away from town and the beach and the wineries (oh the glorious wineries!) actually have you thought about the Barossa!? Is that close to his work?

My Adelaide house is in Salisbury East! (5 minutes from Mawson Lakes) i lived there for 8 years before moving for work, & would gladly move back there.

'The Northern Suburbs' get this constant ragging from people - often who have never lived there - some who have never even been there.

Mawson lakes has a fantastic transport hub, with 15 minute train ride to the city. That being said i couldn't live in mawson lakes, simply because the houses are so close to one another, & have such small backyards. (I have 3 dogs)
