It's the height of the magazine at the checkout that works bother me, as VicPark said its right at child's eye height so if you were stuck waiting they are definitely seeing more that I would prefer.

Doesn't fuss me. I see more at the beach or shopping mall with people walking past.

I really don't think boys or girls being banned from looking at these pictures etc are going to turn into scum or bad boys. It's still how we raise them etc. I don't like letting my kids live in the dark about things either. Also I don't have a prob with her posing, it's her profession. Good on her.

probably wouldn't have noticed it but now that you've pointed it out, the self righteous ***** in me would probably have a pop at the store manager over it. even if nothing changes, it's worth speaking up.

I thought it seemed at child height but wasn't sure as too hard to tell from the pic. but yeah, not cool.

I get that and fair point. I don't think this pic is the same though. It's not innocent. It's full of sexual innuendo. From the pose though to the text around it "hot" etc. it's a photo that's marketed to the P&nis, not the car enthusiast. Instead of a photo of a woman which says "awesome weather, great surf and I'm going to enjoy it, what a great country we live in" it says "look at my boobs. Mmmm. But this magazine and I will let you have a perve-a-rooni."

    Two totally different messages.

The mag doesn't bother me, it's just a car mag. However given the fact Hot4s covers are pretty much always like that, they'd probably be a bit better suited in the mag aisle and not by the checkouts.

OMG horrible product placement! I would probably make a facetious comment to the cashier or manager asking how many kids are spending their hard earned pocket money on the mag and suggest that they may get more sales if it was moved to eye level of the over 18s (I understand it's a car mag)

yeah see it can be argued though it is important. Some believe having our kids, both boys and girls realise women are more than just boobs and a vag is essential to a healthy society and their relationships. I want my sons respecting women and I want my DD to feel she can conquer anything in life without having to resort to using her sex appeal.

So I guess you can look at it superficially as a woman on a car mag. Or much deeper.
