Hi everyone. Thought I'd start by introducing myself. I'm 26 and have been married and Ttc for a year and a half with no luck. Recently diagnosed with PCOS. FS said she could give me medication to help me ovulate but won't do it unless I lose at least another 10kg. Currently on metformin. Losing my mind a little lately. Ttc is so exhausting.

Good luck! What weight are you currently at? My gynae didn't mention weight loss to me.

I'd suggest tracking your cycle with a basal body thermometer. Have they done tests to check ovulation?

After almost 2years of TTC (1 natural BFP followed by MC), I've done full circle through all sorts of immune protocols-it wasn't until I pulled my own blood tests that I realised my LH is off the charts:

    CD 11 (LH 55, E 649, P 0.5)
    CD 13 (LH 70, E 826, P 2)
    CD 14 (LH 111, E 753, P 5.7)

My glucose challenge test results were normal, ultrasounds have shown I don't have PCO apparently..

My AMH is also sky high at 70.

Planning on getting day 3 FSH:LH tested next few days & insisting on metformin...
Your results are almost exactly what mine were, and I have no cysts on an ultrasound either. My insulin resistance results showed I was only just above the normal range, my AMH was 69.

I went on Metformin and (after about 6 months) my AMH had come down to 30. It only works for me at a dose of 2000mcg though, anything less does nothing for me.

I will do that! I used to do it but it was all over the place. That was a long time ago though.
They didn't do those tests. Just blood tests and all the first tests.
I went to primary IVF and asked what the next step was and she said to lose weight. I'm 106 at the moment. I believe I was 104kg when I saw her last. I used to be 120kg so I've already lost a lot but she wants me to lose another 10. I didn't find them very helpful tbh. Long wait and then not much support..
I've had an unreasoning of my ovaries and she said that one of them isn't ovulating and the other is half the size..

I went public through a gynae. There was no wait. I was 106kgs but lost 20kgs by the time I saw the gynae. They should have done blood tests on day 21 of your cycle to see if you were ovulating.

They did blood tests on day 21. But she didn't explain any of the results to me. She said I don't ovulate so I'm gonna assume that she figured that out from those blood tests?
Honestly, it was a horrible experience. I didn't feel like I'd learnt anything from it.

Primary IVF bulk bills. I'm not sure who else to try.

Why not try public gynae referral from your GP. They can give you clomid.
