I'm not sure what borderline means but I think it helps to have the right people looking out for you. I haven't seen a FS yet so I've no idea if he's any good. My friends mum said he isn't super affectionate but he's good at what he does and he will be by your side the whole time. Worth a shot. Good luck! Let me know how you go!

Had an ultrasound yesterday which revealed there is a cyst on my right ovary. I've had PCOS for a while now with no cysts... I guess it's progressed? Time to get back on the metformin I suppose.

I didn't realise you could have PCOS with no cysts or even just 1 cyst. I didn't think they diagnosed it unless you had a lot of cysts.

@Mamasupial that's why, for years I didn't think I had it. But apparently because all my hormones and everything else reflected PCOS, I didn't need to have cysts. I found this out when I was talking to my dietician who also happens to be a fertility specialist. I had absolutely no idea prior to that conversation.

Sorry to hijack this just caught my attention! (I have pcos too)
Gemima, do you mean that you never had any cysts but always had "follicles" ? I think they say 12+ follicles in an ovary is PCO (to varying degrees.)

I have never been told I have cysts, rather follicles - and I believe essentially they're the same thing really - cyst just seems to be used more often when it's large as opposed to the slightly larger immature eggs or follicles? Women without PCO can get large cysts too.

I didn't realize you could have pcos without more follicles than the 'norm' either ?
I guess what I'm saying is that perhaps you always had excessive 'follicles' but only now have an ovarian cyst?
