500 calories a day is purely unhealthy and dangerous. And this is the new FS?

Yep my naturopath recommended him. He suggested metformin but that makes me so ill and next was the HCG.

I'm keen to keep up with the gym and better eating and see what that has in wait for me. It seems so extreme though.

Metformin does make you sick, it takes well over a month before you stop being sick.
It's good to keep up with the gym and clean eating but there's no way you're going to be able to sustain the gym when you're only eating 500 calories. Your body will physically protest because there will be no energy there.
Give it a crack and see how you go I guess - I'd be curious if I were you. But try to be careful - listen to your body.

I spoke to a friend who used to compete in natural body building and figure comps and she said she can help with weight reduction and cleaner / healthier eating. She said that 500 calories is dangerous and surprised that a doctor advised to try it.

I trust her over him any day! Will see how it goes. Will keep up with my PT sessions too as that will be interesting to see what impact that has too

I honestly don't see the benefit other than the weight coming off but as soon as you eat more food again you will put it back on. It's not teaching you anything. It's not going to set up for a healthy pregnancy as your not having the right intake of food etc.

He was talking about treatment for acne and I never ever get spots. I don't think he really listened. He also wanted to book me for a $900 heart scan to check my heart health. Wtf!

This HCG treatment is $600 too! No thanks!

Yep that's what I was thinking. His consult was $310 for 45 mins and I was in there for 30 mins max. Don't have a very good impression from him so not keen to come back. Going to stick to taking DHA/EPA and ovarianne and stick it out.

Hopefully over time things will improve.

How are you going lately Merls? Feeling more pg lately?
