Yes Vixjc you are very strong, I guess you need to be to have come this far. I'm with you having down 10 Ivf cycles- geez that is draining!

I am a bit like you the way I take my kind off things is to go back into planning. It does help.

Just wanted to share my hypotheses of my current issue that may help with your hysto. I had a Hysto and scratch before my cycle and I just had my 20 week scan and I have placenta Previa which basically means the embryo has implanted close to the cervix and unfortunately is unlikely to move which means increased risk of bleeding and c section (it's a bit scary actually and not really what I had hoped for and spent the whole day crying) but it is what it is and I jus need to keep thinking positive and keep away from Google!!!!! The reason why I share is that some of the risks can be d&c and uterine surgery which I can't help but think that whilst my hysto/scratch helped the embryo attach it may have also led to this condition. If I need to do it again I would be saying to the surgeon to do the scratch further up in the cervix if possible so the embryo and therefore placenta can attach there. It's just a hypotheses but if it helps one other person.

Best of luck to all travelling to Greece, the land of the gods and goddesses

Wetsetter sorry to hear that. Its odd that they didnt do the scratch higher in the first place. You shouldn't have to ask for these things? Fingers crossed that this little one will be delivered healthy and on time! xx

@Vixjc I am so sorry to hear of your recent issues with the cysts. This IVF business is an emotional rollercoaster - so many variables that need to add up to get the BFP that we are all after. Stay positive and focus on the next transfer. Take care.
@Mave I am glad to hear that you will be overseas in Feb also. Good luck with your journey.

To all the ladies in Greece currently good luck with your transfers and the dreaded 2ww.

A question for anyone that has already done a trip to Greece, I was thinking about my partner and I going over for six weeks on the assumption that if the first transfer didn't work that we could do a second one whilst we were already in Europe. Has anyone else done this?

Also what vitamins do you take? I have been taking In Natal, vitamin c, Vitamin B and Co Enzyme Q10. This is the stuff I was taking with IVF anyway and I know some are for egg quality but feel that it cant hurt when it comes to transfer time. Also found juicing vegetables really good with my last transfer.

    Thanks JD

Hi Jaydee, i had the same plan to holiday for 6 weeks with the view to fit in a 2nd cycle if the first didn't work. The nurse from Iakentro did the dates and said yep it is doable. Just make sure your clinic knows this is your plan in case you don't get frosties they can line up another donor as it is cutting it fine. As luck has it I got pregnant the first go and stayed a few extra weeks but cut it short. Once I knew I was pregnant that was the only thing that mattered and I just wanted to get home. That was just me

Agree iris you shouldn't have to tell the doctors but sometimes we are just numbers and we need to control what happens and there are so many unknowns. I only felt like I had some control of my IVF journey when I decided to go to Greece and it has changed my life and hope it does for everyone one of you.

Wet setter just thought I'd give you a little glimmer of hope, I had placenta previa, it wasn't full but it did cover my cervix and mine moved up at about 32-34 wks so you still may have time

Oh Vix I'm so so so so so sorry to hear of your bad news I would be so upset and emotional right now. I was prepared for disappointment when I went to Greece this year, since I've had so many failed cycles, its a miracle that I'm actually pregnant. I'm planning to go back to Greece ASAP, but I'm ready for anything, positive or negative since life is up and down and nothing is certain. I'm just feeling blessed to be where I am now. Vix I hope you will also have another chance to try again and be successful. You are blessed with a child, that so many women yearn to have, much like myself. Mum keeps reminding me (shes so nice) that I should have been a grandmother by now...unfortunately my life went down a different path. This is now my destiny, what is unfolding before me.

On a positive note, I'm 28 weeks today and saw my obstetrician, luckily I have no gestational diabetes, good blood pressure, iron levels satisfactory and baby is measuring on track and weighed 1kg. Everything was OK !!..He did say he would probably induce me earlier since I'm high risk and ivf and all that jazz. I just want a natural birth, praying to god for everything to go smoothly. But I'm one happy mama to be.

Jaydee as far as vitamins, I was taking pre natal, vitamin e ( for lining ), folic acid 5mg, baby asprin (to prevent clotting and for good blood flow), I had lots of dairy and made sure I drank lots of water and stayed hydrated. I guess anything and everything would help, but it really depends on the embryo quality, your lining grabbing that embryo and everything going to plan, its a risky game IVF, but stay positive and remember you tried your best.

I'm exhausted, I have a 12 yo foster child here with me over the school holidays, hes very chatty and lively and doesn't keep his hands off his tablet and iPod. It makes for a good baby sitting tool, but I hate seeing children stare at electrical devices like zombies. Tomorrow we play outdoors with his football and get some sunshine with the doggy

I wish you all well and hope that things go to plan, but if they don't the bright side is at least you have a chance to try. Some women are worse off. I'm still scared even though im pregnant, until my baby is out of my womb and probably a year old, I think I will be a total worrier.

Peace and love to you all.

Hi Girls been here 2 days now met Dr K today what a wonderful man. He had 5 Aussies in this morning which was nice for us and one got her possitive after 20 failed ivf/pregnancy whilst we were waiting. The other had her transfer hope and wish them well. Going back in 2 hrs to see when my donor will be ready. She sounds great match for us.
Just seen Dr K again its now 7pm donor being done thursday and we will have transfer tuesday next week. More pregnant ladies whilst there tonight one with twins. Fingers crossed the baby dust rubs off.
