    Default House renovation DIY plans

Hi, we want to renovate our house but don't really want to pay for an architect or drafts person at this stage. Wondering if anyone has used an online program where you can plan it out yourself (using your original plan or measuring up your house and planning around with different options?)

If you did use a drafts person how much did it cost?

I can't remember the specifics or breakdown but for our renos the plans by a draftsman and the council approvals cost about 10k altogether. I think the initial plans cost about 5k or thereabouts.

Our draftsman also checked the build as it went on and organised all of the council building approvals. Also the bank also needed the plans before they would approve the building finance.
