Please go into centerlink and talk to them. I thought I was not entitled but turns out I was. The rules have changed in the last year or two and I think you will find that you can get it. Good luck. X

    Default 2nd maternity leave

Yes, do apply for it but just don't count on it. I still applied and thought that I would get it but was only given the baby bonus. Good luck!

ETA. I called and went in to discuss once I'd received baby bonus payments and was still told I didn't meet the requirements.

Sorry, I just realised that your EDD is Feb not Jan, so Dec-Feb would be 14 months, so the Dec wouldn't count You need to work 10 months between Jan 15-Feb 16.

ETA. If you could I'd work as late as possible, work one day towards the end if you can! Do either of you own a business you worked for in March?

So I returned to work 20/4 and will work until I have baby so I'm due 16/2 which is 4 days shy of 10 months so unless I go over I will miss out JUST
