Ta @BlondeinBrisvegas! I'm back to cd1 but no back to back cycle for me. I'm waiting to hear what LB's next protocol for me is. I'm not sure I can squeeze in another OE cycle but I'm staying on the healthy egg meds just in case I can.
@Kelly70. I'm not sure what the costs will be all up but I'm budgeting on $10-$12k. I'm going for less time than others b/c I'm skipping straight to a FET so less accom costs as I only need to be there for 3 days. Imagine flying over knowing you have blasts in the freezer waiting for you...that's the ideal anyway!!
The SA donor sperm is only $130 but it's anonymous & mostly students. The donor agency fee was $1675. CFC's fee will be at least $6615, embryo freezing 12 mths $440, embryoscope $450, flights $2200 (ish), accom $?, meds $?. I hope that helps give a rough picture!
Would you like to share my egg & sperm donors...we could have full/half siblings?!! Your Noosa friend could join us too!!
Exactly as @ScubaGal says it's about going to 'get that bubba'! Beautifully expressive words of love @ScubaGal!!
@Vixjc is spot on, 60% success rate for fresh transfer & 55% FET. Abit extra for using ISCI & embryoscope apparently. 'Heaven'...bought a tear to my eyes!!

Sorry for two posts in a row!
Well, low and behold LB just rang me out of the blue at 6pm!! She said my day 3 8 cell grade A embie would have had a 10-15% chance of success & that's what I'd be looking at for another OE cycle. She recommended going on estrogen tabs for all of this month if I'm going to do another OE cycle but asked whether I wanted to pursue the 10-15% option or move over to DE with a much higher chance of success.
She offered to continue to be my FS if I chose DE at CFC & to write my scripts & do my lining scans etc which is great.
I'll wait & see what CFC come back with timeline wise for a DE/DS FET cycle & then make the decision.

Hey Tahli - if you go down the donor route, your GP can write your scripts and refer you for scans ... Just in case that's easier (and cheaper) than getting appointments with L, which I understand can be tough. Having said that I use a FS to write my scripts because I like the sounding board, but fortunately for me my FS always squeezes me in, no matter her schedule, she has a scanner in her rooms and is not too $$$. Just thought I'd let you know a GP is an option.

Ta for checking up on me @BlondeinBrisvegas! I've just been emailed tentative dates by CFC & I'm looking at flying out in 5 wks. If the 1st CFC trip is unsuccessful then I'll do another OE cycle before hopefully going back to CFC for a FET. That's the plan in my head anyway!!
Ta also @Vixjc for the GP tip. Any tips like that are more than welcome! I think I just email Lynn's office a list of scripts I need & they administer them...but I could be wrong. I'm just working it out as I go along!!

@Vixjc...& here's the catch. LB's office have just informed me there will be a $400 fee (no Medicare rebate) for writing the referrals & scripts & something about the results during the 1st 6 wks of pregnancy. I'll call my GP to ask how much she'd charge for the same thing in the morning. Happy packing sundresses hun!

Pfft. Ridiculous. Dr L charges about $750 as a 'management fee' for this sort of stuff too, also no Medicare rebate. Revenue raising me thinks.

My current FS charges for the appt ($120), and in fact only charged me half price for last weeks appt given I'm back there again tomorrow but am punctual, quick and easy. So for one appt to get scripts, then two appts for scans, I'll have paid a total of $240. Of course, originally I had a more expensive appt to kick things off, but that wasn't required for this cycle now I'm already a patient. If you have a GP who'll get on board (if you live bayside, my GP will do it if yours won't - I can send you her details) go for it I say.
