@Tahli - it's a risk but I personally would go to EPU for 2 decent sized follicles but I am 4 years older than you. Esp seeing as you had a cancelled cycle already. Depends on whether you think you've got the energy to change up the protocol and try something new to see if you can get more eggs. What did Lynn have you on again this time? You could try Elonva actually, if you didn't try that this cycle, good for lower responders. You're only 40 right - you still have some time up your sleeve to try a few different things and find the best protocol fit for you.

Thanks for some great advice @Kelly70. 1st cycle was Gonal F 300 & Menopur 150. This cycle is Gonal F 450 & Clomid. I think the Clomid may have recruited a few extra follicles but my ovaries just don't seem to have the energy to grow any more than 2/3 follies. The rest are wasted. My FN has suggested Elonva for this cycle but LB added Clomid instead.
I think I'll go to EPU for the 2 follies and what will be will be. I guess I can only work with what my ovaries can produce. This was always going to be an uphill struggle to see if my body was finished with my own eggs or not.
I'm just going to find it really frustrating having next cycle off, unless LB will let me do back-to-back stims.
A flipping expensive risk for 2 follies hey?!!

@Tahli - I went to EPU for one follie once and it was the only one out of my 3 epus that yielded an egg that actually fertilized. It was a 2 day transfer and a bfn but you just never know when it might be the lucky egg.

I needed to hear your story, thanks so much @Kelly70. I'm sorry it wasn't a BFP on that occasion though. My FN told me of a story of one of her recent patients who was also single & had done 3 cancelled cycles, only getting 2 follicles each time, on her 4th cycle they decided 2 follies was as good as it was going to get so went ahead with EPU & got 1 egg which resulted in a BFP.
I'm also worried about losing my DS if I don't progress this cycle. I reserved him in April so had 3 months to use him, running out at the end of July. The DS co-ordinator OKed me extending the time frame b/c of the 1st cancelled cycle. I don't want to push my luck, lose him & have to chose some-one I'm not keen on.
I can't help having the dreams where you wake up from EPU in a groggy state, look down at your hand & the sticker has a zero on it.

Yep getting zero eggs was my worst nightmare but even me with my crappy amh still always got eggs. If your e2 is looking good (which yours is) then that shows there are most likely eggs in those follicles) so don't worry about that so much.

Tahli - I did 6 cycles and only made it to EPU twice. My first EPU I got three follies, two eggs, one fertilised and a BFP ... It was ectopic, but still, I got my golden egg.

The other EPU nothing fertilised. I had a pretty decent AMH for my age (over 12 at the time), so don't stress about AMH too much.

I say go for it. You don't want the regret of not trying. You only need one :-)

@Kelly70 FN just rang with my E2 result, 3240. The Progynova may have boosted that number a little apparently. So I'll be triggering Tuesday night with EPU on Thursday. I'd best jump on to youtube so I can figure out how to mix the Pregnyl. I hadn't previously allowed myself to think that far ahead.
Thank-you so much Kelly & @Vixjc for encouraging me to go forward. I'm sorry to hear of your ectopic @Vixjc. Am I right in thinking you've been in hospital recently with T. If so, I hope things are well & truly on the mend for the two of you.
PS: @Bongley you and I and your donor are cycle buddys!!

@Tahli Sorry Luv, been flat out with no time to scratch my a r s e today!! Anyhoo...Yep, you might as well give it a red hot go Luv if you're happy to take the chance

E2 levels are good even if slightly inflated by the Progynova. Based on that and your follicle measurements, I'd say you've got a very good chance of getting 2 good eggie's to work with on Thurs!!

and prayers being sent they'll both be mature and fertilise for you Luv, then you can whack 'em both back in I say!!!!
