Hey off topic but I'm wondering if my kitty cat friends here - @Kellyk77 @Skylar - I've been trying to work out what breed my rescue kitty actually is - rspca said he was a red point ragdoll cross but a friend if mine thinks he looks more like a red point Birman. I've looked at some YouTube vids and i think he looks Birman too, here's a couple new pics - anyone out here have any thoughts?

Thanks @Corbes - i was trying to remember who has the 2 ragdolls, was that you? I think @Kellyk77 has ragdolls too but I could be wrong. Yeah he's definitely not mitted, but his coloring is so strongly red point - he has an apricot stripe down his back, apricot ears and a big fluffy apricot/red tail. Plus red tabby markings on his face. He's definitely a cross though but I can't think what he could be crossed with to maintain such perfect red point colouring. He doesn't do the floppy thing either - he's very happy to be picked up, carried around and smooched and cuddled to bits but he won't go on his back very well.

He has looks and a gorgeous little personality to match, he's a sweetheart!!
@Vixjc - hope your little man is feeling better and it wasn't too serious?

Hey kel, yep I have 2 ragdolls but looking at Frankie I'm not sure, I think maybe he might be Birman ? Only that the facial structure looks slightly different. Plus my raggies are totally floppy and true to their name but then it sounds like yours is very chilled out too so who knows! Agree with BIB - either way he's gorgeous!!!

This is a red point ragdoll pic, think he looks more like the Birman but they really are very similar!

Kel - soooo similar, I almost can't tell the difference bw them - I've done some googling too and thought he looked more like a Birman, that's what got me wondering. I feel a bit curious about his history and identity because it was the first half of his little life and I know nothing about it!

I know what you mean. My family have always had rescue animals (I broke that with my babies but I really wanted indoor cats) and I often wonder where they came from and how they ended up strays. I can't imagine not doing everything possible to find my babies if they went missing!!
